  • Clinical Steering Team (2021 – 2023) – assess patient safety risks and collaborate in setting priorities among patient safety bundles for a network of 140+ children’s hospitals across the United States
    • Presenter at Spring 2023 National Learning Session on addressing hospital safety in view of staffing challenges in the post-pandemic world
    • Presenter at Fall 2022 National Learning Session on the role of patient families, staff, administration, and the board in hospital safety work
  • Ambulatory Safety Workgroup (2019 – 2020) – evaluate and develop pilot programs to address safety risks in the pediatric ambulatory setting

  • CW Enterprise Safety Team – evaluate data analyzing quality and safety of care and devise changes in protocol, procedures, and health information systems to address safety challenges (2022 to present)
  •  CW Medication Reconciliation Committee – evaluate changes to medication reconciliation procedures, electronic medical records system, and workflow (October 2016 to 2020)
  • CW Discharge Optimization Team – evaluate proposed changes to the electronic medical records system and After Visit Summary (“AVS”) for issues impacting patient safety (2016 to 2019)
  • CW Imaging Partnership Council/Quality Assurance Committee – review of quality assurance and patient satisfaction data relating to imaging and interventional radiology (2013 – 2019)
  • CW Discharge Order Set/Inpatient AVS Committee – evaluate changes to AVS and workflow in connection with electronic medical records system upgrade (2015 – 2016)
  • CW Family Advisory Committee – provide feedback on patient services, communications, educational materials, and hospital initiatives; attended Solutions for Patient Safety Conference with the Chief Medical Officer and staff (2016 to 2019)
  • CW Appendicitis Quality Improvement Committee – assist with the design of procedures intended to more quickly transition pediatric appendicitis patients from narcotics/opioids to over-the-counter medications (2017 – 2018)
